"Do you like tea?" Max asked as he placed a kettle over his fireplace.

"I've never had it." Callie looked around Max's house in wonder.

"Never had tea?" Max scoffed. "Who raised you?"

Callie shuffled her feet uneasily. "Well my parents, sorta, for like half my life. . ."

"Oh." Max's joking attitude fell. "I'm sorry."

"Don't worry about it." Callie took a seat in one of the long couches. "Will you answer my questions now?"

"Sure thing, kid." Max sat on the couch across from Callie. "What do you want to know?"

"You said that fairy thing was a sprite?" Callie clarified and Max nodded. "What did it do to me?"

"It was sucking out your life." Max said grimly.

"My life?"

"It's like a leech, it lives off of other being's life forces."

"So, if you hadn't shown up. . ."

"You would've died." Max concluded. "Congratulations, you're the first person to ever survive an attack from a sprite."

"Really?"

"Not that it's that common. Sprites shouldn't even be in this world."

"What do you mean?"

"Someone had to have summoned it."

"You can summon creatures from other worlds?"

"Where do you think all the myths of dragons and unicorns came from?"

Callie thought for a moment. "What happened to the sprite?"

"I sent it back to it's home world." Max stretched like it was no big deal.

"You can do that?"

Max nodded. "So can you, but you'd need a lot of practice. You don't want to keep the portal open long enough for more creatures to come through."

Each word Max spoke flew around Callie's head like flies, confusing her more and more. "So everyone can do this?"

"Nope. Just you and me."

"What?" Callie tried and failed to grasp what he meant.

"Kid, you've got a lot to learn."

When I have enough chapters edited and to my liking, I will start posting them on a schedule starting at the end of the discontinued chapters or I'll make a separate book for the new version. If you have questions about, don't hesitate to ask. The roof crashed down at the speed of lightning, crushing me under the table as I gasped for air. My mind scrambling to process what had happened as I felt rubble falling around me, surrounding me in darkness. I reached up, my arm stinging as I hit the hard wood table over me, which was keeping the rubble off me, miraculously. I wiped my forehead, sweat, and probably blood dripping down my arm and side of head as I reached for a nearby rock, trying to push on it, hoping that it might help me out of this disaster. "Mom? Betty?" I called, hoping for a response, only to get none. I didn't even get the slightest whimper from any of them. What the heck happened? "Mom?! Betty?!" I screamed this time, trying to push myself up onto my back, my leg killing me so much that I had to give up. I laid back down on the ground, placing my hand on the bottom of the table; anger, fear, confusion getting the best of me. I screamed as I banged my fists on the wood table. "MOM? BETTY?" Nothing. I was ready to bang on the wood again, but I flinched back when I heard the sound of moving rubble. Whoever it is was almost near where I was, and ... moving quickly. So, there's no possible way that it was a human. It would take hundreds do men to lift these boulders, but whoever this person is, is stronger than anyone I would kn- My thoughts froze as I watched something large wrap around the edges of the table, lifting it up; my eyes widening as I came face to face with the largest creature known to mankind. A giant. (This is my book from my own brain. These are my own characters based off my family members. Please do not steal it.)

"Who's out there?" One of the men yelled. Of course only silence met them. I remained quiet and waited for the group to start moving again. "Maybe it was just an animal." Someone whispered. The person, who I assumed was the captain of the small squad, signaled for them to walk again. They clearly showed fear as they kept going; brandishing their weapons to guard themselves with. "Two are holding lanterns. I'll tell you when you're too close to them." I heard my friend whisper in my ear. I followed the men as I picked up another branch and waited for the right time to break it. They continued to walk through the forest, turning their heads in every direction as if an animal might lunge at them and rip their throats out. I guess in a way I was going to do that. "Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind. At nine years old, Silver decided to leave her village for the forest. Since then, she's been hunted; everyday is a fight for her life, every breath she takes could be her last, but she's determined to stay alive. Her life isn't the kind anyone would want to live but she's managed to survive this long so, what's a few more years?

"Celestia." The voice of a familiar creature reached her human ears. Her gaze trailed up to meet her masters pair and this initiated his anger but she remained emotionless as he began to complain. "What the hell was that just now? I've been training you for the last ten years and I don't remember you fighting with the speed of a snail. I wouldn't have been surprised if these weak demons killed you." The straight black strands of Celestia's silky hair sway slightly under her hood as she stepped off the pile of dead bodies. The sharp weapon she summoned earlier transformed into light, allowing itself to be absorbed by the tattoo on the palm of her hand. The male glared as she disregarded his last words and spun on her heels, intending to leave the sickening scene. "How many times have I told you to not act like that towards me?" His form materialised in front of her, this allowing his long fingers to wrap around her neck. Celestia choked as her body was driven back and smacked against one of the trees in the vast forest. He released her once her face grew pale and watched smugly as she coughed and desperately inhaled as much as oxygen as she could. She bowed stiffly towards her master as soon as she managed to sort herself out. "I apologize, Zerro." His lips formed into a cruel grin and he unexpectedly planted a kick in her stomach causing Celestia to hit against the rough bark a second time. "You are just a weapon...nothing else." -------------------------------------------------------- During a majority of her life, Celestia suffered through misfortune after misfortune, thanks to the demon, Zerro, who tricked her into creating a contract with him. When Han, a new student transfers to her school, he makes it his mission to help lift away her suffering. Will he succeed or will Zerro stop him from doing so?

Wonderful tales about adventures and battles against the Empire of Gallamine... But this was not one of those heroic times. The messenger was a soldier of the King, bearing a Blue cloak with a Gold insignia of the King, The Mighty Blue Dragon, on his hands. Allen's mother covered her face with grief and ran inside the house. Allen wanted to cry, but he kept a brave face. His lower lip wouldn't stop trembling. As he extended his hands for the cloak, the messenger unveiled his hoodie and underneath was his Uncle Waller with tears and red nose. Allen ran and hugged him. Not letting him go, thinking he too would suddenly disappear. "Allen... Please take this inside." Said Waller, "I will come back when we have done the ceremony for his burial." Waller kneeled down with his arms extended, offering Allen his fathers cloak. "But... Uncle Waller. What-" I started crying, but kept a brave face. "I understand Uncle *Sniff* I will be brave for the family and Mom." I took the cloak from his hands, and something clicked inside my head. A voice came through to my head, more a whisper than a normal voice. Uncle Waller stood up and walked away. I embraced the cloak, my tears falling on it, as I remembered my fathers scent. "I don't know what happened... But I promise you this Father, I will find the person who did this to you, and make it pay for taking you away from our family". I swore with anger burning in my heart. "I must grow strong, just like Father, Uncle and Grandpa... I will become The strongest Warrior there ever was, you will see Father..." I walked back inside the house. "Allen... You have promise..." Said the whisper, "I will help you grow strong, and get Revenge..." Said the voice with sadness, "You are a very special Kid".
