Alistair hates humans. He believes them to be despicable creatures. So, he plans to open the gates of Jahannam and unleash hell on Earth.  In order to do so, he must sacrifice a human.
Omayra is a typical college student except she can see jinn. Some may see this to be an amazing gift, but she believes it to be a curse. Imagine demons phasing into your room unannounced while you are trying to study for finals.
Viktor hates his father. A trait most likely inherited from his the man himself, he hatred for him runs deep. So, when given the chance to visit the human world and be away from him, he pounces on it. Little does he know that he might help bring about the end of the world as we know it.
