I was lost in that moment of time. 
In her eyes, I saw Alice's twinkling eyes. 
In her smile, I saw Alice's captivating smile. 
In her glowing cheeks, I saw Alice's flawless ivory skin. 

I know I mustn't think about Alice anymore but fond memories are hard to let go, it would seem. 

As I twirled my dear nephew's Rose around effortlessly, I no longer felt the judging eyes of the world upon my back. 

But it was over as soon as it began.
