Gandalf the Grey wants to restore Thorin Oakensheild to the throne of Erebor but he fears he won't succeed without the help of the Elves. In a moment of haste, he makes a deal with Lord Elrond to unite Thorin Oakenshield with Elrond's adopted daughter, Lillian who was left on Lord Elrond's doorstep when she was but a few days old. Thorin and Lillian's union will either save the quest or doom it to failure, and what will happen when someone from Lillian's past comes back to haunt her?

It has been a few years since the journey and his dear friend Bilbo has returned for a visit he comes at a bad time though. Thorin is being pressured into marriage by the council so there will be a Durin heir, only the Dwarves are not the only ones trying to force the king into a marriage. Without a word to anyone, not even her overprotective father, she ran away from home to join the Company of Thorin Oakenshield. After all, it was only to help them reclaim Erebor. Little did she know, a certain blond haired dwarf would come into her life and change it. Being the next in line for the throne after his uncle, Fili had a duty. He had to fight by his uncle's side to reclaim Erebor, their home. That was it.
