      In the world of Pyrrhia, it's pretty much accepted that dragons have wings. In the War of Sandwing Succession, combat was all aerial. In times of peace, dragons fly from one place to another. But, do they all?
      Aster the Rainwing is the only one forever stuck on the ground. How does she cope? She doesn't. At least, not at first. That all changed when she met the first good dragons in her life, and slowly but surely, she started to pick up the pieces of herself that had been scattered to the wind.

      Below the Canopy takes place about 120 years after the War of Sandwing Succession, but is written in knowledge of the tenth book.

NOTE: The following is a fanfiction inspired by Tui T Sutherland's "Wings of Fire" saga. "Wings of Fire" does not belong to me, and much of the material included in this story is fanon, not canon, though several canon characters will be making appearances throughout the story. Lemming is a young IceWing of middle class rank, who has been a loyal soldier on Blaze's side in the war for a couple years. She's small for an IceWing of her age, but has been able to use this to her advantage to become a successful soldier and survive in the war. However, after a battle takes a turn for the worse, Lemming is left as one of the few survivors and imprisoned in the SkyWing arena. This new world is more brutal than the battles she'd fought in the war, and the SkyWings don't kill for necessity -they kill for entertainment. Can Lemming survive in this new kill or be killed world, or will she be just another body to be swept from the arena sand? NOTE 2: Some of the wording and phrasing of Pt4 comes straight from "The Dragonet Prophesy". That wording was created by Tui T.
