   Y/n is the younger sister of Keith, well...adopted sister. Y/n mother died when she was 6, due to a "accident" and never was told about her father, but her mom used to say he was from the stars. She was adopted 3 months after the "accident"  2 years after Keith's father adopted Y/n, he died. Keith and Y/n only had each other after and they were all that they needed. 

    8 years have passed and after a friend of theirs, named Shiro, went missing during a mission in space a year ago and was declared dead along with the other 2 pilots, they both find out the truth that Shiro and the other 2 aren't dead. One day they hear about a spaceship landing near them and they know it's Shiro. They go out to find him, little did they know, 3 other teenager's have the same plan. They run into each and Keith and Y/n meet a cute Cuban boy with a flirtatious attitude, a Samoan guy that loves food, and a girl with the mind of Albert Einstein. They travel into space to discover a ancient defender named Voltron and they must pilot the six lions that come together  to form this mighty hero.
