Things really went south for Desi the day his girlfriend disappeared.
Being a suspect in a missing persons case meant he was at risk of suspension from school, and having the cops breathing down his neck made it really hard to keep selling the illegal substances that were paying for his tuition. Even his band mates won't talk to him anymore; they think the same as everyone else.
He killed her. That's what they all whispered behind their hands in the halls when they saw him. It didn't matter that the cops hadn't arrested him and no body had even been found. That's what everyone thought of him regardless.
Everyone, besides Desi's eccentric classmate, Casper. He has a different theory, but it's even crazier than the idea that Desi was a murderer.
Wendigo.
Desi didn't believe in ghosts or gods and he certainly didn't believe in a cannibalistic monster running a muck in his quiet little town. But if humoring these wild paranormal theories was what it took to have someone on his side, he was happy to do so. Maybe while trying to prove it, they'd stumble across enough evidence to clear Desi's name like Casper promises.
Unfortunately, as even more people with connections to Desi start disappearing, things only become more damning. Even Desi himself is starting to doubt his own alibis, and with Casper's ghost stories stuck in his head, he can't help but wonder if maybe the truth lies somewhere in between.
Maybe it was him. Maybe it was a Wendigo. Maybe... he was the Wendigo.

"Who's there," I can't breath. I'm always looking over my shoulder ever since- I can't think about the now. I have to run but where, back to Jake? No I can't, everything is different now. I reach out to touch him only for him to be yanked just out of my reach. I hear the wolves in the distance howling at the beautiful moon. I need his touch again. I need to know I'm safe. The only safe place anymore is pressed against him under the sheets. "Coal!" I call out again. ---I can hear her. She's here somewhere I know it. I can smell her sent threw the thick of the woods. "Sapphire!" I call out, but my call is lost in the night. I have to protect her. I have to save one, just one. Maybe that will be enough to clean the blood off my tainted skin. What if they get her? She'll... Change... I look up at the moon, could she not have heard my howls? Of course she did. She always did. I can hear the other wolves in the forest. Soon I too would be engulfed by the beast. Unable to control myself, unable to predict the beasts next move. Only she could tame the beast inside me. Why be afraid of the monster under the bed when you should be afraid of the one lying next to you under the sheets.--- I keep quiet in the deep dark night. Percy finds out about Nico's crush earlier than planned. And it's on neither of their terms. Until Percy gives him some good advice. Advice Nico takes to heart. But a demigod's life is never easy, and with a new prophecy and a new quest even darker forces are looming over the horizon, threatening to destroy the sunshine that Nico and another half-blood we all thought was gone have finally found. Placed during very beginning of Blood of Olympus/ between House of Hades and Blood of Olympus at the beginning. Then it switches to the end of Blood of Olympus. This is a solangelo story line. If you have not read Blood of Olympus, or do not ship solangelo, then I kindly ask you to reconsider your life choices. And then go do those things. Hell. Inside. Heaven
Cara Santos and her family were once living in the Hacienda of the Marquez and they work their as farmers and maids for the the rich family who also rules the whole city. As they work their, she suddenly meets and falls for one of the sons of the family, they kept their relationship secret because their love was forbidden for the family. They got to have 4 children in their secret 5 year relationship but the secret never lasted. Their secret slowly spread all over the hacienda. As it reaches the head of the family, the Santos family were ordered to be hunt down that killed Cara's parents. As soon as Cara's lover finds out about what happened, he begged his parents to not kill Cara; instead, Cara must leave the whole city and never return again. For Cara, his lover's decision was not enough because she thought that she will be protected and his lover will take responsibility of her but as soon as the Cara and her children were forced to be banned from the city, she never seen him again. Cara worked hard years after the tragedy and struggled giving her children the best life; fortunately, the small restaurant business she made boomed and got attention from the city she was living in and she immediately rose to success and reached a high peak of her life. More years after her success started, she decides to take revenge and take down the people who once treated her like a dirt and her 4 children and 1 adopted son agreed on her plan. They are about to return to Hudson City and from now on, Cara will make sure that the Marquez will get what they deserve after years of suffering from them. She will make sure that the Hacienda will never stay heaven cause as soon as she steps inside the whole city, the real image of the family will be revealed and you will figure out it was never heaven but hell.Complete
