If a single kid twitched or faltered their smile, they would get a major punishment such as a whip to the back or a beating till you would bleed. Arabella being the youngest or the 'runt' in the family she would get picked on or beaten by her siblings and parents the most. Her oldest brother/heir to the throne was her savior.
