Somehow we survived. We still struggle to understand how. We are not immune to the virus, we were not prepared for the outbreak, and the military's bombs were supposed to contain it and kill us all. At first we thought they were zombies, but we soon realized we were terribly wrong. They are faster. They are smarter. They are hunters. The dust has settled and the world is much quieter now. We have to be quiet or they will find us. We accept our new lives and give our old ones a hard goodbye.

Now in a world devastated by death and disease thats the best thing to do. ~~~~~~~~~~ Two years ago a disease broke out, killing people.. however it didn't stop there it brought the dead back..... But they weren't the same, they killed and ate anything that moved. The government decided to bomb the cities most infected to slow the spread, but that just made things so much worse. That's not what I fear though, what I fear most is the people who are left. The people we were are gone, and people will do anything it takes to survive.. if there is one thing I would tell the old me it's fight the dead... but fear the living. He has this sickness, no one knows what it is and he tries to hide it from his members. He passed out in the middle of a concert and was rushed to a hospital. They saw abnormalities, but they didn't know what they were. They only knew it could kill him within a few months. They gave him a therapist and some meds, and weekly appointments. They hoped maybe with the constant appointments, they would find the issue. They found something. They didn't know how to fix it though. Han had been feeling worse recently, barely making it out of bed. But he promised to make an appearance at one more concert. Lee Know tries to prevent him from going, but seeing his favorite person on earth wanting only one last appearance, he lets him. He knew he shouldn't have, but he wanted to make Han happy. Instead, he broke Han even more than he already was. Will Lee Know every forgive himself? Will Han ever recover? Will everyone forget Han? Will his sweet words to everyone, crush their souls? Everything started in 2036. The pollution was so bad that the end of the world was predicted to be right around the corner. As complete panic set in around the world, the rich and important people were all gathered and placed on giant spaceships with enough resources and room to house generations of human beings. Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves. So they stayed civil while still doing what it took to survive.Complete

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. The Apocalypse
The ice deep in the north has melted to reveal a new world hidden under the ice. It holds vegetation and animals that seem unworldly when compared to ours, but hidden in the deepest part of this world is another cave with the oldest surviving strains of an ancient bacteria capable of taking host of dead creatures and reanimating them into beasts worse than before. This strain had grown weak over the ages and was nearly extinct, but the human immune system, never being exposed to this, caused the strain to thrive inside its new unexpecting host and spreads out to the world. It starts small, just a speck on the hands of a few people, but soon, it spreads to door handles, pens, books, chairs, things like that. It continues spreading and now has infected its first corpse, the remains of an ant. This new creature comes and spreads to that ant's nest and then to the animals that eat them. Before less than a month passed, the virus had spread to a graveyard in the hidden grottos of the Yukon. This virus, now able to think from the new minds of fresh bodies, can strategize. In only another week, the epidemic had spread to the northern edge of the United States. Spreading further and further in, people began to notice this strange happening. From people disappearing to entire towns popping out of existence, the bacteria continued to spread. To keep order, the governments had those who disappeared erased from existence, but it wasn't enough. The takeover of those long gone happened in less than three weeks and society collapsed. Spreading overseas, it began its removal of life in Europe, but that's a story for another day. We now come to those few remaining settlements in the collapsed U.S, now called The Crumbled Land. What does this new land hold hidden deep in the remnants of its former glory?Complete
