Without hesitating, I turned and threw my silver knife with all my strength into the air. Time slowed down, in that moment, as it flew through the air, the blade glinting in the moonlight. It flew straight, and pierced his heart as he fell to his knees, begging with his eyes for me to stop. But I couldn't. Something inside of me had taken control. I had truly become The Huntress, as I killed the one I loved. 

When Jade's parents are killed in a vampire attack that was no accident, she has no choice but to look after her younger sisters. And if she had to kill every vamp on Earth to keep them safe from harm, then so be it. But what would happen if fate had other plans for Jade and her sisters? What would happen if they met their mates, and came face to face with their biggest threat yet..?

"Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind. At nine years old, Silver decided to leave her village for the forest. Since then, she's been hunted; everyday is a fight for her life, every breath she takes could be her last, but she's determined to stay alive. Her life isn't the kind anyone would want to live but she's managed to survive this long so, what's a few more years?
