This is the story of the mythical return  of the buffalo to the Great Plains.  Once there  were 60 million buffalo roaming free from Canada to Texas.  Now there are 500,000.  But that number is growing...  The Plains Indians have a prophecy that when a White buffalo is born, then the White Buffalo Calf Woman shall return.  She will not be an Indian.  She will look different and dress different than the tribes.  She will bring the Buffalo back from the underworld where they are waiting.  Since 1990, 10 White buffalo have been born.
