A boy has a secret he's been keeping all his life and he even himself does not understand it. At 17 years old he's been living an easy simple life until a dream comes back to haunt him. Reoccurring dreams resurface which leave him even more confused each day.
There is also that incident with one of his friends that leaves him even more confused then ever.
Will he learn what his "secrets" mean? What's happening to the life that once was so safe and simple? (Romance/coming of age story)

Was this the sign he has been looking for? - River has been a mental health advocate for three years. With his own demons battled, he takes it upon himself to support others. More specifically strangers. He has always found peace in helping those who suffer in silence. When River is approached by a man who expresses his depressive tendencies, he decides to take the broken stranger for coffee, out of fear of what might happen if he lets him go. River tells him to offload, release all the sadness and frustration he has into someone who knows nothing about him. But when he leaves, River can't stop thinking about him. Atlas Hart is different from most people, because most people don't skip school and disappear for days or even weeks at a time. But most people don't have his intense emotions and outbursts of anger, or a broken family, or looked at as the outcast of the school. When Forest meets Atlas, he can't believe he's never noticed someone so perfect for him, and Atlas just can't believe someone like Forest is even talking to him.
