[A WATTPAD FEATURED FANTASY STORY]

Sascha Cavlacanti was alone. She had lost everything, and she never thought that her life would ever have meaning again.

Until one night, she learns of the fabled Last Beacon, a highly sought-after power source. She is then thrown into a completely new world of adventure, danger, and discovery.
On top of that, she is dropped into the middle of a feud between her companion Laurenz, and Decius, the man who she is told not to trust.

In a dance of fates and secrets, Sascha must not only face her own fears, but the obstacles that await her in the world that she never thought she'd have the chance to explore.

"You're so stupid," he hissed, glaring at her, "I wasn't going to let him kill you. I was going to let you go. But now, I might just have to kill you myself."

Stricken with grief, he imprisons the murderer and wipes out every last mage of the Song-a human supremacist mage family that had murdered his kind for nothing more than the joy of their extinction. In Saileora, power hums beneath the soil, ancient and untamed. Seeker Wrain, princess and heir to a throne that feels more like a cage, has always sensed it, both around and inside her. But the whispers of that hidden force - the stirring of magic, the heartbeat of the land - have never explicitly belonged to her. Until now. When an impossible void tears through the quiet countryside, leaving her kingdom's fields in ruins and the skies heavy with shadows, Seeker is thrust into a world of secrets she never asked to inherit. The dragons - the ancient gods of her people - are no longer the benevolent protectors of legend. One of them, Ascklees, has risen from his grave, burning with a hatred that could ignite all of Saileora. The land calls for heroes, but Seeker has never been one. Not the fierce warrior like her childhood friend Calix Clearbow, who walks in the light with unwavering bravery, nor the brilliant Dr. Rockbrow who seems to bend the world to her will. No, Seeker is something else entirely. A quiet storm, an unread book filled with power she does not yet understand. But there are others like her. Other Omnicircies - rare wielders of all the Subcirces, whose power has the potential to shape the fate of kingdoms. And they are waiting, hidden among the peaks of Vidya, the shores of Blissia and Brashar, and the deserts of Sadya. Only together can they confront the gathering storm, but first, they must be found. In The Dragon's Call, nothing is as it seems. Every smile hides a secret, every whisper holds a danger. Power calls to those who dare to listen, but power demands a price - one that not everyone will survive. Are you ready to heed the call?

[ magic, romance and madness. ] Everyone knew that a romance between a guardian and their protégé always ended in tragedy - yet they risked it. One day, I read that in real-life fairy tales, the princess sometimes needs to befriend the dragon and kill the prince, perhaps not to the most extreme extent, considering the prince's utility. (*Wink*). Twenty years had passed since the demise of the last living descendant bearing the bloodline of a potent family within the mystical realm. Individuals who possessed magic more formidable than anyone could have fathomed and that very magic could be pilfered if they were to meet an untimely end-a rumour ignited like wildfire. Word began to spread about the sole surviving member of the Lysion family, the last vestige of a lineage renowned for their blessings from the gods (or, as some argue, their curses), once no more than bedtime tales for children. Two decades earlier, a game of hide and seek unfolded that culminated in the death of the final Lysion at the hands of Oldo Blake, a formidable figure in the annals of history. Or so the story goes. An obscure girl. A concealed secret. A relentless pursuit. With a motley crew of bewildering Other Siders on her trail and an absolute dearth of knowledge on how to harness her precious magic, Rosélina Johnson's life transformed from that of an inconspicuous university student to that of a fugitive in the mystic realm, utterly unprepared for what lay ahead.

Ischel wakes up with a hole in her heart every morning, knowing she can't leave the house. Most days she wouldn't risk it, and on that summer trip she wished she hadn't. Ischel loses her mother during the trip, and all she spared was a waterproof notebook which is the only thing that connects her to her family, and a half complete word. Overcome with grief, Ischel was sure that someone had staged a well planned kidnap of her mother, and embarked on a journey of finding her. When a hiding stranger completes the word, Ischel is compelled to listen to him and under his guidance sets out to find her real home, Inframagus, hidden under the seas of the real world, her mother's past, and uncover the truth about herself. But when Ischel returns she isn't the only one who's back home. Will the people of her land accept her? Or would she have to prove to them that she belongs, by claiming the chaos into her own hands.
