Luca, Max, Kelly, Gavin, Castor. They all know how to do their own thing, but becoming a part of somebody's life takes work. The good get a harmony, the great will get a melody, but only the best will become, and stay, a solo in Ebony's  life. Ebony herself is section leader of a boisterous tangle of trumpets and she's not about to deal with someone who can't keep up.
