Matt is an 13 year old young boy with no parents he lives in father muller's orphanage with 56 other kids, he suffers from speech disorder and finds it hard to communicate with people from which we get our tittle of the book "Mr williams"

Mr william is matt's imaginary uncle who gives matt advice regarding everything, matt always wanted to be a writter but finds nothing inspiring until he hears his uncle story of the butterflies
