Here is one who's not had a wholly unkind life but is on the threshold of death. He finds himself disillusioned with his world as he lays in the ward of his hospital bed. For him, this is all a chore until he meets Someone who steals close to his bedside to give him respite and perhaps the peace he's always ever wanted.
