Unwanted heros: eyes of gold

You wake up in a strange room, people staring at you in white coats, it's all hazy your can't remember how you got here, you look down something isn't right, long black hair flows down over your shoulders, and on your wrist there's a glowing, blue paw print, your other hand goes to touch it, you barely tap it and pain explodes, radiating through your body, your fingernails elongate, fur starts to sprout on your arms, as you scream in pain you feel your body twist and shake, and the other people in the room back away, soon the pain ebbs away, you turn feeling stronger, and shorter, you notice instead of hands you have paws, with long claws that contract, fur covers your body, with spots doting it, your tongue licks your lips feeling long sharp teeth, you see in the mirror on the wall a long, and lean leopard staring back at you, the people enter the room again and some here glass shatters and a roar echoes from the hallway.
