She is the focal point of the story parents tell their pups to keep them from misbehaving. They say that if you disobey the rules then the Moon's Warrior will come and discipline all the naughty children, and no one wants that. For they know that whenever the Moon's Warrior disciplines someone, they end up dead.
No one has seen her face, they don't even know that she is a woman. Anyone who is graced with seeing while she is "hunting," are usually her prey, and don't live to tell.
