Being sent away for the summer sucks. Rose Princeton had not expected her parents to send her off to her grandfather's house, three hours away from home. How can you make the best of that?
Especially when you're doomed to have a summer job. Rose's grandfather owns the town's surf shop, and he really needs a hand. She would like working there, if it wasn't for the fact that she has to do so with Nicolas Perry. Stubborn, idiotic and insufferable. He and Rose are off to a bad start.
Through all of that, Rose meets her next door neighbor, Ella King, and things start to get a little better when she finds a new group of friends.

This is a story about summer adventures, friendships, romances and experiences.
