nefelibata (n.) - one who lives in the clouds of their own imagination or dreams, or one who does not obey the conventions of society, literature, or art. Lena Wilson has her mind set on herself and what she wants to accomplish. Everyone stays well out of her way, knowing that she says it like it is and strays from the narrative of "fitting in". She defies the rules of society and completely separates herself from the small minded people in her town. Although she's proud of who she is, it comes with some side effects. Due to her need to be different, she is a bit of a loner, a dark soul with a wild imagination. When the new boy, Carson Foxx, strolls into town with his head held high and his cockiness through the roof, he doesn't realize that Lena is not the kind of girl that you can grab at a party and go. He takes this as a challenge, a mission. This is nefelibata.

Some of the words she hates include economy class, second-hand clothes, and budget. She likes fashion, dating, not being on time and getting what she wants - until she meets Sean, who is like the clock striking midnight; he erases all her magic power. He is as mature and sophisticated as the dark roasted coffee he drinks, while she is like a lollipop: colorful, dazzling on the outside but empty calories and artificial sweeteners on the inside. The attraction is instant, but getting a kiss is only the first step. To keep their fire burning, they must accept each other's differences and decide if what they're building is strong enough to survive trials, jealousy, expectations, and the fear of becoming someone they no longer recognize.
