The world has changed as we know it, magic has spread across the world, to every country and all corners of the planet. one such place is the kingdom of Temeria on the Plagos continent. Temeria is surrounded by superpowers of nations on all sides, all trying to get the upper hand in the war of magic. Because of the constant threat of being invaded Temeria developed a unit of the strongest mages in the nation to fight on the front lines, they are called the Magic extermination unit. Each member of the 21 member unit is given a card called an Arcana which gives them a unique magic which is specific to them. One of these mages in an 18 year old boy named Tobias Carter. Unknown to most he is the illegitimate prince of the kingdom, only a few select members of the royal household even know about him. The king, Emir Von Strauss orders him to be killed in battle, the reason? He doesn't want the nation to know about his indiscretion. The king sends mercenaries after him, they find and wound him, leaving him left for dead. Only he didn't die, he survived now he wants to overthrow the corrupt monarchy and bring the country to it's knees by any means necessary.

The Last Knights of Cambria Book 1: Echoes of Gideon
Gideon Saint is dying for something exciting to happen in his life. With his love of history, he figures an internship at the museum has to be a good start, right? Anything is better than listening to his parents argue or sitting alone in his room doing research no one but him seems to care about. A chance encounter with a magical ring leaves him transported to an alternate version of ancient Wales, or as it was sometimes called, Cambria. 1432 Wales, to be exact. Here magic is the most powerful weapon of all as kings vie for power. Good thing Gideon's teleportation from the present has also left him with the ability to use magic, and he's quickly regarded as a powerful wizard. In this timeline, Wales maintained it's independence, but that's about to change. Henry V is on the throne of the England, and the greatest warrior king England has ever had has set his sights on Wales. Can Gideon help save his newfound friends and master his new powers, while living a double life in the 21st century? Ahem, living people die, dying people live, Henry V is here and he's awesome despite being the main antagonist, everybody is vaguely gay, swords are described in loving detail, people are not, lovely platonic friendships, did we mention swords? Yes, you may learn something about history, but that's a risk you'll have to take. Basically, think of this as a Percy Jackson type of adventure, but it's historical fiction instead of Greek gods. The narrator is 15 and the major supporting characters are 14, 17, and 19. That said, there's nothing in the way of content that's inappropriate for a younger reader. As always if you're not here to go on a fun little adventure find a different story. Trigger/Content: very mild language, some magic violence, fantasy violence. Self-harm is briefly discussed. Adoption issues are discussed as well as brief scenes of a abusive family. Characters briefly mention crushes and or dating, no real innuendos.Complete
