Nadine Gwynn Black graduated from Durmstrang Institute for Magic at the top of her class in 1990. Her mother, her only known living relative, passed away shortly afterwards and she moved to Romania to live and work with her best friend, Charlie Weasley. There was no one and nothing keeping her in England.
Years later, Charlie and Nadine receive word from Albus Dumbledore that four dragons are needed for the first task of the Triwizard Tournament. The two of them bring the dragons to Hogwarts and become entangled in the happenings of the Triwizard Tournament.
Nadine falls in love with life at Hogwarts and wants more than anything to be able to stay. Her dragons are her life, but something in her gut tells her that this is where she's meant to be.
