Guardians of the Light (Book 1: Rebirth)
Many centuries ago, an unspoken darkness swept across the land taking all that was light and pure in the world with it. Creatures of this darkness roamed free to spread the darkness wherever they went consuming any trace of light remaining. In order to stop The Darkness from controlling the world, a group of priests took the remaining pieces of light and placed them within the body of two chosen children. They became known as the Children of the Light. Their sacrifice was not in vain, leaving behind spoken words for the next generation of children born with the pure light energy within them. Over time an organisation built on these words was formed called The Guardians, who were tasked to seek out the next chosen children and protect them from The Darkness should it rise again. Centuries have come and gone as the battle between the light and the darkness still rages on, unaware of the human race that creatures live among them and that a battle between them and the guardians has gone on for many years. Present day we find ourselves in a small city named New Haeven that has become the centre of the secret world of light and dark.The current story follows a Guardian by the name of Ronin. Ronin saw the faces of the new Children of the Light and was tasked by the Elders to track them down and protect them at all costs.The children were both college students and were one male and one female whose names were James Hillman and Sara Danvers..When Ronin went to see he ran into a ghost from his past, Lillian. In a world, the people are all blessed with powers or magic of their own at the age of 15. But it depends on what they have doing in life. Six friends were blessed with magic of their own, and they go to the School of Magic to learn how to control their powers/magic. They learn about the Pillars, who were the first ever people to gain powers or magic, and they were told to find out more information about them. But they realise that they have vanished a thousand years ago, making their research harder as there wasn't much information about them after their disappearance. It was then one of them decided to bring them back after learning what happened to them. Will they bring them back? Or will the darkness win the battle? Notes: Now obviously, this story isn't real, and some of them might be unrecognisable with each other, and well thats because they have not met yet.
