MATEO || bxb
It only took one summer to change everything. Now Camden is just trying his best to carry on with life like normal, but that's a little tricky when his memories keep haunting and some nights are so bad that sleep evades him completely. He can't even imagine how much worse it would have been if Mateo hadn't been there. But that was the summer before and Mateo's been gone for the whole year since. What happens when Mateo comes home, and how will Cam ever face him again? ___ 'He looked mostly the same as last summer, older maybe, definitely more tanned. He'd grown his hair out a little longer, so it hung lower in his eyes now. I'd seen him post a picture with his hair like that a few months ago and decided to grow mine out too. I wonder when he looked at me, did he see me as I am now, or did he see me as I was then, that night?' ___ TW: sexual assaultComplete
The Summer of Absolutely Nothing
It's summer - the end of my first year of college. And I am home again, more than a little worse for the wear. College hadn't gone how I had expected it to go. After two years of the grind to get in, I thought I would find the kind of magic I saw in American high school movies, which I had been denied of in school - late nights, parties, wild adventures with whacky best friends, romance.... everything one is told is supposed to happen in one's teenage years. After two years of watching my classmates grow up and enter this world, I thought it was my turn, now. I thought my college life would be like a coming-of-age movie. But in reality? It wouldn't make a good story, of any kind - not even a sad one. The only thing I found were shiftless friends, stifling academic pressure and heartbreak. So now I was home - a little bruised, a little broken. A few dreams in shards around my feet. Turns out, I needn't have worried. The summer that followed changed my life. The summer of - after a hectic, stressful year - nothing at all. Nothing, and yet - everything.Complete

You, Again
Devin Maloney had exactly three objectives in mind for her summer: Make more money, find a rich boyfriend and move out of her parent's house (preferably directly into future rich boyfriend's abode). All of this would help convince Devin that she in fact was not such a fuck up after all. So what if she was twenty-six and hadn't made something of herself? It wasn't just her multiple jobs and her empty bank account anymore. It was the sheer number of weddings she had witnessed on Instagram that was making her physically ill at the moment. Each time she opened up her phone she held it slightly away from her. She couldn't bear to look at the screen for longer than a few moments as she rapidly swiped through the most current wedding searching for people she knew. Hoping that she wouldn't see him. Him being Christian Parker, the situation-ship that seemed to never amount to anything. Christian ebbed and flowed through Devin's life that most of her major milestones were synonymous with him in one way or another.Complete
