Our eyes met from across the room, and it felt as if the world around me was playing in slow motion. Once my gaze met his, I just couldn't look away. His obsidian eyes were so...captivating. They flashed red for a moment, and before I knew it, he was in front of me.

" Hello there, beloved." his deep, husky voice greeted, causing my legs to go weak; I didn't understand why my body was reacting like this, but I was unable to do anything about it as I stared into his unique-colored eyes. It felt as if I was stuck in some kind of trance as he gently grabbed my hand and brought it to his lips, kissing my knuckle," Your name?"

I felt my face flush red by his action," A-Angel..." I replied with a small stutter, my heart beating against my rib cage when I saw him smile down at me.

" Leo." He answered before intertwining his fingers with my own, smirking down at my smaller form," Can I buy you a drink?"

Angel Marquice had just gotten out of a bad relationship with his ex-boyfriend, and to cheer him up, his friends -Amy, Emily, and Nolan- decide to take him out drinking at 'The Black Swan', a famous club in New Orleans.
