Two soldiers in World War Two get stuck together after a bomb separates them from their troops. Nikolai Fischer is a German soldier happy to serve his country, but after a bomb separated him from his troop and he is shot in the leg by an American soldier, James Davis, who was also separated from his troop and was wounded when the bomb went off. Soon after yelling and threatening to kill each other when their troops get back they soon realize that if they want to survive to see their countries and families again they'll have to work together to survive.

A young 19 year old Korean boy decides to set off to Japan in search of his own identity and as a way to get away from his parents.
