[This story kinda takes place around the middle of S4 of Voltron: Legendary Defender, so I'm not including a few details, but this has to deal with Keith being part of the BoM!]

It's been ten deca-pheobs since Red Paladin Keith Kogane left the castleship and joined the Blade of Marmora. Occasionally, he met up with the paladins during a mission, but for the most part, they've been defending the universe and building the Coalition without him. 

The first deca-pheob was hard, but eventually, the rest of the paladins could focus more on the task at hand: defeating Zarkon.

Except for one.

Lance has been stewing in his conflicted feelings since Keith left, and not even his best friend Hunk can get him out of his funk. He's stated multiple times he's simply waiting for "Mullet-Head" to get home, but there's something in his eyes that Hunk just can't decipher.

"Lance is missing!"

The words shocked everyone. They knew they only rarely saw Lance around the castleship, but to hear he was actually missing? That was a surprise.

Red wasn't even missing - the lion was perched in its hangar, forcefield up. The only sign that he was gone was a missing pod and an empty bedroom. Where could he have gone?

Now, the paladins have a missing pilot and no one to replace him. Allura and Shiro together call a search mission to find Lance, and they call to their closest ally to help: The Blade of Marmora.

Unexpected twists and turns await the paladins as they deal with the loss of a close friend and the loss of a pilot. Can they find him before something morbid happens to the beloved Blue Paladin?All Rights Reserved

It really was remarkable how his eyes changed to resemble those of pure Galra. It would have scared him if his introduction to the guy hadn't been a gushing retelling of a 'bonding moment' between him and his brother. Alec merely rolled his eyes. "Haven't you been listening. I. Don't. Know. And to think Lance said you were smart." Keith was pratically growling as he pulled his arms off of his shirt. "I'll say this once. You will either help me find my brother and fix the mess you made or you will let me leave with that ship and stay the fuck away from him." In which Lance goes off on a solo mission without the others knowing only to be left behind when the team disappears and having to deal with the aftermath. (They do get reunited. In fact most of the time lance spends a part from them in shown in Lance's flashbacks leading up to their reuinion.)

The Paladins of Voltron are missing, only Coran Shiro, and Princess Allura got out of that battle. The black lion was the only one to make it back to the castle. Then lions Green, Blue, Red, and Yellow where all taken with their Paladins. The green Paladin hasn't been heard from longest, Katie was separated due to her scientific mind and technological mind/ insight. The only thing know about her, is that she is never in the same prison too long. Keith was put in a cell only drones can access, due to his Galra roots. Lance is on the same ship as Keith, but in a standard cell, he is just trying to figure out a way to get him and Keith free. Hunk already escaped, and got his lion, he has been making a b-line for the Balmera and Shay. He was in the lowest security cell, so broke out pretty easily. The Galaxy has been searching for their heroes, the Paladins of Voltron, and they get closer every day. The Garrison have been trying to get in contact with the Paladins for years now, unaware that those who they need to rescue them, are the ones in need of rescuing. Different situation to the end of season six and of season seven. I know this isn't what happens, but this is a Fanfic, not the actual thing. Go to Netflix if you can't handle this, but seriously. I own nothing but storyline and plot, everything else goes to Netflix.
