Ruby doesn't believe in superpowers even after witnessing one herself: Her and her parents were on a ferry and suddenly it split in two. She watched as her parents drowned, but she didn't because something flew out of the sky and placed her on land. Before she was able to see who it was, they flew away. Now, years later, she is haunted by the same question: Who was the person in the sky? One day, she accidentally discovers that her parents were involved in something and that was what caused their deaths. She sets out to find what it is, and what she discovers is appalling.

Sofia Scamander lives with Newt. They aren't related in the slightest. He took her in years ago after finding out she lost her memory and he wouldn't be able to track down he real family. He taught her everything he knew about magical creatures. But Newt is getting old and he's worried about Sofia being left behind, so he decides she should get some education and meet some new people. Sofia was perfectly content it just being the two of them and isn't happy about getting enrolled into hogwarts. Here she meets some familiar, but mostly a lot of new people. Stronger than 1 but she doesn't turn into a giant monkey. She has better accuracy than 2.... Somehow.... But her weapon of choice would've bee a bow and arrow. She has 3's same power but she doesn't like to use it except to get what she wants and her sister's doesn't work on her. She can transform like 6 could. She can see him like 4. The only other one that can. He was always afraid of his power drowns it out by getting high. But they were kind of her only friends minus her brother and their more dangerous sister. 5 and her liked to race each other the only difference is, is that as smart as he is she's a better jumper. But she has the most in common with 7. They're both seen as too dangerous and her powers like her sister's are awaken and work because of their emotions. She's more dangerous though because she can mirror her siblings powers. She trained herself her dad never cared about her. He always cared about his non biological children more. And he only cared enough about them to train them but he didn't care about any of them. She was born the same day they were and the same age. She wasn't born the same way though. It was more like a science experiment. He gave a serum to get the one person he trusted to have her and made it timed to the day.
