Angel, a seventeen year old girl living in Florida, had just started out her senior year with her head held high and a promise to herself that she would control her anxiety and depression. That quickly overturned as her boyfriend of six years, Markus, breaks up with her. With hand under her chin to keep it high, she pushes on. A month passes before she and a friend of hers, a hyperactive boy named Christian, decide to date. Angel thought she had been doing this because she was ready to move on, but after about two months of being with Christian she realized she had been using him to latch onto, and that she didn't actually like him.
