Sixteen year old Lena is seeing winking purple faeries again, and her mother suddenly has a tail and cat ears. Things haven’t been this bad since her childhood. But they are, because of Adrian, the infuriating boy in her class who refuses to leave her alone. His presence brings in the question of her dead father and the secrets her mother kept hidden from her. But her reasons don’t matter now. Not when invisible, dangerous men kidnap her mother for dead, leaving Lena to flee Earth with Adrian, her elven guardian, holding in his hands her past as well as her heart. Hunted by the personal guard of Queen Aideen- her grandmother diffusing evil wherever she conquers- Lena seeks safety within her much alive, father’s elven kingdom. The war for the ten kingdoms has already begun, taking lives as each side both pure and evil bloody their hands for success. Only Lena with a destiny tying her to Snow White- not a damsel in distress but a powerful elven queen who changed the world- will decide who emerges the victor whether she accepts this or not. And she most certainly does not. What’s a girl going to do when a stupid prophecy demands she kills her own blood for peace and balance? Easy. Shape her destiny and identity on her own.

𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙄𝙄𝙄 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙁𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 The bad news: Phoenix has turned into gold. The good news: so have their enemies. It's also possible that apart from their group of three, so have the rest of the human kind. Meanwhile, in the cottage, life more or less goes on. As Najwa mourns both her mom and the loss of her closest friend, Rain can't tear his gaze away from the golden remnants of their enemies and Rio does their best to keep everyone fed and healthy. Aspen isn't much help, not when he is holed up in his room, terrified of the power he holds. It's been said that you only realize the importance of someone when they're gone. Whether or not that is true, Aspen would give his life to get Phoenix back. There's guilt, undoubtedly, but also the fact that he has a huge crush on him. They have never even had the chance to kiss or confess their feelings, and that's just tragic. But hey, there's always a chance for a long-distance relationship. As you might imagine, the connection from one world to another isn't ideal. But if they can make it work, there's a chance to return Phoenix and the rest of the infected back to life.
