Marina is a 14 year old girl from Sacramento California, she lives with her abusive parents and her cat Mr. Fluffernutter. People at her school think she is insane and bully her for her unique outfit choices and different calm personality (which people at her school describe it as "high and out of mind") Marina daydreams a lot about having friends and being happy, Marina thinks she is unattractive and mental so she self harms as a punishment for being "awkward." Marina is panromantic and asexual, but she has never fallen in love, until she meets Roxie, a 15 year old black butch lesbian who likes basketball and video games, once Roxie decides to talk to Marina, Roxie instantly falls in love with Marina, Marina falls for Roxie too. Okay thats all you get to hear, I hope you enjoy this story, I just got the idea when I was listening to the song "The Docter Said" by Chloe Adams.
