It can be fun following your dad around on the job. Maybe some children watch their fathers exterminate insects or fix a car. Mortimer Filius watches his father transport spirits to the other side. Did I mention his dad is Death? Its kind of a family job. Life is already hard enough as a 16 year old boy without the added burden of having to deal with unco-operative spirits. Mort is awkward and shy until he meets Ruby, a teenage girl with a thing for adventures. Will Mort be able to battle an angry spirit and keep Ruby safe? When the vengeful spirit of Katherine Wells comes knocking on Mort`s door with the intention of killing his new best friend Ruby, Mort will do whatever it takes to make sure she doesnt succeed.
