When I slammed my locker shut and turned to see Toby standing there, watching me, I jumped in fright and dropped my bag. Talk about speaking of the devil. I picked it up quickly before he could and said a rushed "hi" before turning to leave. But Toby pulled me back to him making my flustered countenance change and I was suddenly defensive. I pulled away and made a face. "Do you need something or something?" I questioned him. "Relax," he said. "Are you in a hurry?". He sounded so sweet. And why was he looking down at me so innocently? "I'm not", I said with a shake of the head. He seemed very polite so I instantly felt bad for being rude. "What's up?". "You're Harvey, right? Harvey Celestine?". I nodded. "You're Maria's friend". "To the point, Meyers". I was quickly becoming bored. Toby looked surprised for a moment, although I didn't know why. But then, he smiled a little. "You left your geography note and textbook in class and that wouldn't do considering the fact that we have a geography test tomorrow". I immediately switched up and started thanking him profusely. All my sticky notes and reminders were in there. He smiled and waved it off before turning to leave. When I got home, Maria gave me a phone call, squealing like a child. "Toby invited me to his birthday party this Saturday!". I pulled the phone away from my ears to protect myself from the extra scream that came after that. "He said you could come too". Should she call out or remain silent? Despite of being the center of attention at school she wishes to be normal girl because her memories of being a testing experiment in H.M.E as a little girl still taunts her and she's good at everything because of the special abilities they gave her which she thinks isn't fair. No matter how much she wants to forget her past she can't because she does not want to forget the first boy she ever loved who was also a testing experiment with her who she called "Yo-kun " She's haven't seen him in 7 years and wonders if he's even alive or if she will ever see him again. A new kid arrives at school and all the kids fear him as he looks like he can be the son of Satan. Maddie is curious about the boy who looks fearsome to everyone and with cold aura around him and she realizes its her first love " Yo-kun"!
