Being re-written

Ramona can very much remember how in love she was with prince Valerian. Betrothed to him at birth, she was raised and molded to love, cherish him and to be his perfect wife. He was everything to her, Ramona loved prince Valerian the way she's supposed to, expected to, and trained to.
He's the love of her life.
Prince Valerian adored her just the same, he married Ramona when he's eighteen and her at sixteen. As soon as they're both at marrying age.
The two were a picture perfect couple, the pride of the palace and the envy of other royals that no one as much suspected the couple of nothing but a happy marriage.
Until, something dark and unexpected happened.
It was overnight, the change in the Prince. It is as though he'd been bewitched by a spell or a curse that turned him into someone else. Prince Valerian began to act restless, afraid and anxious. When the sun goes down and the darkness reigns over at night, prince Valerian turns into someone he is not. He became violent, hot tempered, and vile. Gone is the calm and doting prince everyone adored and in his place is a monstrous strange man. No one would have suspected he is the same person that even Ramona did not recognize her own husband. The palace condemned the change as a form of ill omen that corrupted the prince, and called forth the land's best healers and physicians. They summoned magicians, warlocks, shamans, and yet, none was able to provide a cure for a curse no one could understand.

Taken away from her at a young age were the only two people who would love her no matter what-her parents. Their love was all-consuming, the kind that anchored her, until the day it vanished in a single breath, a flash of arrows. Now, all she had left was the memory of that love-a fragile thread she clung to, one that only made the darkness around her grow deeper. By the age of nineteen, Valrie and her sister found themselves in an orphan house, working the land to survive. They grew and harvested ingredients, selling them to market buyers and the kingdom to stay afloat. But desperation leads to mistakes, and one day, they were caught "stealing" from the kingdom itself. The punishment was swift, and they were dragged to Eirondale-a breathtaking kingdom with towering castles and lush landscapes, ruled by a cold-hearted dynasty that thrives on power and control. The beauty of the kingdom was suffocating, like a thorned rose, stunning yet deadly. Among the grand halls and cold stone walls, Valrie soon caught the eye of not one, but two princely brothers, both equally dangerous and cruel in their own ways. But it wasn't just the princes. The King-ruthless and feared-had taken a darker interest in Valrie. In this world of beauty and malice, where power ruled and compassion was scarce, Valrie had unknowingly become a pawn in a game far more sinister than she could have imagined. Now, she had to navigate the dangers of a royal court, where everyone wore a mask of grace but wielded daggers of ambition and deceit behind their backs. The princes might toy with her heart, but the King... he could destroy her entirely.

"The realization and truth of my life confused me. My stepmother was actually my father. The man I knew as my father was really a stranger. I was half-demon and half-witch with the magic of both and primed to be the ruler of the magical world." When the always pristine perfect princess Karissa Parker is given a strange little book, she discovers that she is the descendent of a powerful demon-hunting witch and the book contains the magic of her ancestors. Before she even knows how to use it, a creature steals it from her. She and her protector, Ricardo Ortega, must get the book back if she is ever to inherit her mother's family magic. There's just one thing that bothers them. She's always had magic powers. Witches don't inherit their family magic at birth, but demons do. In a world where magic is real and the forces of good hunt the forces of evil, it's possible for hybrids to exist, those who must fight an internal struggle on which side to choose. Kari could no longer ignore the fact that magic and demonic creatures were real. After all, seeing is believing and she saw more in those first few days than she ever thought possible.
