Five people, who all accidentally kill someone during their lives, all die within their respective time periods. When united in the afterlife, a purgatory black desert world called Cou'Ra Ta'Nir, they are presented with an impossible task to atone for their sins: build a mountain. Whilst trying to defy the laws of creation, they are imprisoned in this strange world and given the names of those who they killed; Peregrine, Saskue-Unknown (Su), Squad 833 (Sett), Alice and Mina.
After discovering that only one man has ever managed to achieve this task and chose to remain in Cou'Ra Ta'Nir rather than progress onto Heaven, Peregrine and her new companions set out to climb his mountain to discover the secret of creation and why he stayed. But darker secrets will emerge...

Creator: Friend or Foe?
This story began as a NaNoWriMo 2012 work, with no planning, and even less idea of plot. I learned from that experience that I am not a 'pantser' -and spent about 20 painful months trying to turn my stream-of-consciousness 3-stories-in-one into one coherent novel, following the timeline and events in the Book of Genesis. I discovered that that is not a great way to build a plot. I ended after 5 more drafts, at about 60k words. There is another draft on my blog, slightly longer, a bit more experimental.
