Beneath the Ceiling

Maverick, a middle aged bartender, has been kidnapped by a cult who utilizes human blood for rituals to grant members of the cult unimaginable mythical strengths. The townsfolk of Walden became aware of a non-hostile species of woodland creatures who call themselves Mordos. Living among humans for so long , they were able to pick up on the English language. The town of Walden signed a contract with the chief of the Mordos to make sure that the townsfolk would not only integrate them into their culture, but to keep them a secret from the rest of the world to avoid the government. Years have passed by and some of the Mordos have began not to enjoy human company. However some humans, like Maverick, don't enjoy the Mordos either.
