What is love? Is it a feeling? An emotion? A thought? Or...an illusion?
Young Jessamine (Jess) has never had an easy life. First, she was abandoned by a mother she never knew. Then kidnapped at the age of 5 where she was forced endless suffering and humiliation. And to make her life worse, the man who she believed was her soul mate nearly killed her and took what was soon to be the most precious thing in her life, away.
