"Disappointment. If I were to explain myself in one word, that would be it. A big, fat disappointment." Charlie used to be on the very top. But after a dark string of events her laughters slowly died down and the smiles faltered. That was until a certain boy moved into the house next to hers. That certain boy would once again help all those certain feelings resurface. Question is, could she handle her own feelings? Will Alex's messy life somehow help Charlie sort out hers or will it only get messier?

The lights in her room were off but the natural city lights and night sky coming through her window illuminated her room enough for me to see her mouth as she talked. See her lips twitch, her nose scrunch up, her smile exposing her teeth; two fangs not in line with the rest though it added so much beauty to her in some peculiar way, I could see her laugh and see the lines on her face appear and disappear with every expression she gave me. I could see her. She was here. Finally. ------------------------------ My hold on the side of her neck and back loosened, causing her to finally look down on me again. She ran her fingers through my hair and pulled me to her, I nuzzled my face against her collar bones where her long hair swept against. "I'm sorry. Fuck. That was,,, that wasn't, " She said as she detached our tangled bodies and limbs and sat back to her previous position. I licked my lips and tasted her distinctive taste and toothpaste, wishing that the kiss was long enough so I could have at least a more intense aftertaste of her. "-That was a mistake. Right? That's what you were going to say?" She only stared back at me, embarrassment tinting her cheeks. "I don't know why I did that." "Maybe because you couldn't stand the idea of me actually taking interest in another woman besides you." I say coldly. "Yeah. Maybe." She concluded truthfully.
