I said it in a whisper, and my tears began to fall. I hid in the wardrobe like instructed. There was lots of screaming and yelling. My body uncontrollably shook from fear. The door was opened to our house. The small creak echos through the room. I trembled in fear as I peaked through the small gap. I covered my mouth to stop my scream from coming out. The pirates were walking around, opening drawers and cabinets, and tossing beds. One man approached the wardrobe. I close my eyes and bend down, holding my body as I hug my knees. The wardrobe was opened. I can't help the tears that are leaving my eyes. I still haven't made any eye contact with them yet. Fear is running rampant. "Look what we have here, boys." He says. The Nine Oceans

15 parts Ongoing Mature

Welcome to the known world of The Nine Oceans! Watch out for pirates, prophecies, bandits and politics. Please, don't concern yourself with what lives under the D'Vialle manor. And always, always remember to keep your actions out of the workings or you'll find yourself on the wrong side of The Ladies. Better to keep safe and above the wet instead of swimming seven draughts down, don't you think? This massive story is told from multiple viewpoints and is one part swashbuckling, one part steampunk, and one part all smashed together of romance, adventure, sci-fi / fantasy, and revenge. Updates will be inconsistent because I'm still writing the final half (possibly the final two thirds) as well as polishing and settling finished chapters into the right places in the timeline. Content warning: I'll put CW's at the start of each chapter, as needed, and in general you can expect foul language, violence, sex, trauma and fear.
