SELENE BLAZE

"You've got the wrong girl." I say as I continue to take a step backward. He stepped forward not letting me get away.

"I know her you've seen her, so you're gonna tell her something for me." Jaxon says taking an extra step forward and I immediately step backward again. I can't let him get close to me. It's been years, but for some reason, he still scared the hell out of me.

"What if I say no? What if I don't tell her?" I ask as I let out a shaky breath.

"Oh, you're going to tell her." Jaxon says taking another step forward as I take one back, but my back meets a wall. "You tell her, that if I ever see her again, I'll kill her."

"What did she ever do to you?" I growl, suddenly thankful for the wig on my head, covering my real hair.

"She lived." Jaxon hisses and I knew what he was talking about. He wishes my sister had survived instead of me. Well, he can just join the club, he's not the only one. I swallow as he leans closer. "Do you think she'll understand?" I slowly nod.

     "She'll understand." I say.

"Good." He smiles leaning back. "Also tell her to stay away from the strip. She doesn't deserve to race."

"She'll never agree to that." I blurt out. It was the truth, I would never agree to that.

"I guess you better find a way to convince her." Jaxon says. "Or your heads on the line."

"Is there a problem here?" Wesley asks coming towards us.

"No." Jaxon smiles before patting my shoulder roughly. "Besides, I was just leaving." He walks away leaving me alone with Wesley.

"Are you okay?" He asks and I look at him. I scoff and walk away. I may be afraid of Jaxon, but Wesley doesn't scare me. And after everything that's happened, I hated Wesley.

It was a while later when Brendon woke up again. He noticed a sharp pain in his wrist and saw the swelling. He was pretty sure it was more than a sprain. He stood slowly and was able to walk. "Sarah, wake up. Something's happened," Brendon spoke while gently shaking her awake. Her eyes slowly opened. "Bren, what's wrong?" She asked. "I'm not sure," he said. He helped her to stand when her leg suddenly gave out. She was squeezing his arm tightly. "Bren, what's wrong? I can't walk," She said as worry filled her eyes and voice. "I'm not sure," he said and picked her up. He carried her out of their room, ignoring the pain in his wrist, and into the main part of the bus. Mike, Dallon, Dan, and Zack were all making their way out from the back bunks. He didn't see Ryleigh among them. Kenny, Dan, and Zack seemed to be okay but Dallon was limping, held up solely by Kenny and Dan. "What happened?" Brendon asked them. "I think the bus had an accident." Zack said first. "Brendon, whatever happened, I did something to my ankle I can't walk,"Dallon spoke up. "We'll figure this out, I think I broke my wrist and Sarah can't walk either," Brendon said. Panic was beginning to settle in as Brendon realized no one noticed she was gone. "Have you all seen Ryleigh?" Brendon asked as Sarah held tightly to his neck. All the band members began looking around and Zack checks the bunks. "No, but Brendon, don't freak out. We'll find her. She isn't in her bunk or anywhere on this bus." Zack said. Brendon felt the tears welling in his eyes as reality set in. ***This book is the 3rd book in The Urie's Daughter series. Do NOT read unless you've read the others. Blaze White is the New Girl at the Prep school in her mothers old home town. But her only goal for senior year is to keep a low profile, no friends, no parties and NO boys. Axel may be adored and worshipped by his peer-but he hates people, except 5. So when a beautiful but closed off girl suddenly enters his group. He is not welcoming of the mysterious beauty despite the pull they both feel. •••• WARNING: This was written many moons ago. I have decided to put it back up because of a large request from readers. However, I was a kid when I wrote this so take it with a grain of salt. *** Like a deer in head lights, I freeze and watch as the car comes towards me expecting to get hit. But to my surprise, the car swerves to the side slightly next to me and comes to a stop. I take a deep breath I didn't know I was holding at the driver's side door swings open and a very pissed off Axel steps out. "Thank god," I mumble and place my hands on my knees to catch my breath. "Blaze?" He says and I hate it. I hate how he says my name as if it's his. Like he knows it's the only thing I want to hear, him calling out to me, looking at me, focused to me. It's the first time in my life I wanted someone's attention so badly I didn't care how I got it. And that was too dangerous for me to hold onto. "Are you insane or some shit? I could have killed you!" He says and starts to walk towards me. I take a big breath and step back away from him, "s-stop! Axel," I stutter still panting. It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. "Don't run from me Blaze it won't go well," he growls reading my thoughts causing me to freeze in my spot. "Do not ever think you can get away from me."

He once told me no one knows the real him.I didn't think he meant it, and not in a good way. He is a straight A student, and everyone knows it, not to mention he is on the swim team. All that though isn't the real him, the real him hides deep within himself. ---------- "Can you please tell me what that was?" I nearly shout at him. All I get is silence. He keeps his back to me. "Please, I need some explanation." I beg. I stay still as he stops dead in his tracks. His body is tense and it's scarring me. He turns around slowly to face me with his hands at his sides. His eyes meet mine, but there is no spark of any emotion in them. They are cold and dark making me look away not being able to hold his deadly stare. I feel uneasy under his gaze, and i feel his eyes burning a hole in the side of my face. "No, I won't explain because it's not important." He says in a low, almost, growl. I flinch and look back into his eyes. I feel hurt by his words and I don't know why, but I know he sees it in my eyes. His faces flashes with regret but it's quickly covered up with his faces going back to it's hard cold look. I feel my heart stop and my face go pale. His look terrified me making me hold my breath. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?" He questions raising an eyebrow at me. "You haven't hurt me." "Yet." He mutters, but I roll my eyes.

Book #3 in The Fire series BLAKE RIVERA "You're the leader of a gang." Aiden yells. I look up at him. "You don't think I know that?" I yell back. "I am doing everything I can to protect my people!" "Your people are being murdered. You're in a war you don't even know is happening." "I know what's going on out there. I know what's happening." "Then why aren't you doing anything to stop it?" I slam my hands on the desk and stand up. "I am doing everything I can!" I yell anger laced in my voice as it flowed through my veins. Suddenly the lights went out; a flashing red light comes on as alarms sound. "You need to do more." Aiden says. "Otherwise this. It's never going to stop." "They're attacking." I realize. "They're always attacking. And they're not going to stop until we're dead." "Or surrender." I mumble and Aidens head snaps up to look at me. "You won't. You can't." "No, what I can't do is kill Felix." "The man you loved isn't there anymore. Can't you see that? He's gone. A monster wears his skin. What's it going to take before you realize that?" I shake my head. "Evacuate. Make sure everyone gets out of here. No one dies today." "Well, someone should. And we both know who it needs to be." Aiden says before he leaves the room. I know Aiden is right, but I can't kill Felix, even if he keeps trying to kill me. I shake my head and sit back down. Just because everyone else was leaving didn't mean I had to also. Maybe I can talk some sense into him. I sigh. I've tried to already, but maybe this time it will be different. Maybe I should tell him the truth. Maybe I should tell him Nadia is his daughter. The door to my planning room is thrown open but I stay seated. I look up as men flood into the room, soon followed by Felix. His emotionless eyes find mine and he cocks his gun. "You should have run with the others."
