We expect too much from people. We expect too much from ourselves as well because life is way too short for us to worry about what makes us miserable. Life is supposed to be all about the little things that make us smile, life is about breaking the rules, forgiving the people who have done us wrong, kissing what appears to be the perfect person in the hopes of them becoming our soul mate, loving everything about them, their mind, soul and body, laughing uncontrollably just thinking about all the memories, but mostly, never regretting anything that once made us happy. Right now, the life of June Dickerson and Elizabeth Christensen consist of boring jobs, occasional one night stands, and some bills piling up on the kitchen counter. But what happens when a couple of interesting men walk into the frame and break this routine they were getting tired of? Will the risks and lows be all worth it at the end?
Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd)
Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
