Throughout his childhood, Masahiro had developed a very long list of questions that he simply could not find answers to, like how his grandfather, Abe no Seimei, was apparently 75 but looked to be in his 20's.

Masahiro grew up meeting-and sometimes seeing on a day-to-day basis- 11 of his grandfather's shikigami. But they all told him at least once that there was one more of them.
