Should the United States of America fall into the inevitable conflict of differing somethings, this is, perhaps, two firsthand accounts of what such a conflict would look like, as well as a glance into that conflict's aftermath.
According to these characters' accounts, we have until 2027. By 2030 we become two completely separate societies, and by 2039 several persons in their own right take the grief the split has caused them into their own hands.

Hybrid: The Awakening

By 2057, Earth will be a shadow of its former self. Decades of unbridled consumption and climate negligence have left the earth almost desolate. Water, oil, and lush land are relics of the past, valued more than money. All nations have collapsed under the weight of famine, disease, and internal upheaval, leaving only two superpowers: the United States and Russia.
