Every Summer has a story.

Jake Bell spent his high school career preparing to leave his hometown, but when the time finally comes, he meets Summer Jones: free-spirited, beautiful, and the complete opposite of what he thought he wanted. Summer teaches Jake that every summer has a story; every summer is made up of chances that, if taken, can change your life. Every summer is made up of moments that will never be forgotten. But when an accident causes Jake's life to turn upside down, he may try to forget all he learned and return to his gaming, quiet self with his best friend, Drew. Jake may try to forget Summer, but he may also realize that he doesn't really want to.

A lovelorn high school student and a charismatic, budding surfer teach each other lessons of love and life during their summer together.

WATTYS 2023 & 2022 SHORTLIST | Stella Donahue is in dire need of a fresh start. A break. Away from the college town that's shunned her, away from the place she once called home. Her salvation comes in the shape of an old family friend's lake house and the promise of a summer all to herself. Not to forgive. Probably not to forget - no matter how hard she tries. But to continue to heal. The surprise comes in the shape of Jacob Wilson. Suddenly, with her somewhat estranged childhood friend living down the hall, Stella's summer of solitude becomes anything but. Though, maybe, reconnecting with Jake is exactly what she needs.
