Apprenticing under the legendary adventurer, Elton not only discovers monsters and lands beyond his imagination, he finds the legendary Thaumaturge to be unexpectedly lighthearted, despite trudging through catastrophes almost daily. And in spite of the hero's assurances, Elton has an itching suspicion something bigger and more evil than anything even the Thaumaturge has faced is rising.
