“What do you mean am I from Australia?” He asked as he moved forward once again, eyes still focused on me. I brought my hands up to separate up but I failed as he moved closer.
“People in Australia say mate, so I just thought,” I trailed off wondering why that answer just poured out of my mouth.
“Say it again,” he demanded as he stepped closer, leaving only an inch of space left between us. I could practically feel his jeans as they brushed against my legs, my legs being exposed and only covered by a skirt.I swallowed and repeated what I thought he wanted me to say, “Mate,” I answered in more of a question.
“Slower,” he softly growled.

A high school filled with vampires, werewolves, witches, reapers, and six humans including me? What a nightmare, pun intended…
I was your average every day high school student, just trying to make it through my junior year of high school. Samantha Kate nothing special about me, but I got the call that would forever change my life. The call that said Fantasy Mixed High School, the most prestigious well-known school in the entire world, accepted me as one of their newest transfer students for senior year. A student under a scholarship, meaning I didn’t need to pay anything, not even my lunch. But the weirdest part is that I never enrolled or even showed an interest in going to the school. When I got there I met a friend right off the bat, one that would do anything for me, and I the same. But as I walk into my first class, sixth period for everyone else, something bad happens. The school’s genius star quarterback looks me in the eyes. Then interrupts my introduction, pins me against the wall, and whispers in my ear, “Mate.”
Years before his birth, it was prophesised that his soul would never be whole, that his heart would never beat in rhythm to his other half.
Micajah was born with a dark soul, a soul that was corrupt. A soul that was more wolf than human.
A soul incomplete. Nothing but an imperfect creation that walks earth.
He will never have a true mate.
When his turn to rule the wolf kingdom arises, after the death of his mother, he is forced to choose a female that has already been rejected from her true mate.
Alongside his rise to the throne, the wolf kingdom begins to tear itself apart. An uprising begins.
No one wants a creature, hated by the Moon Goddess herself, to rule. Even if he is the only royal heir by blood. Even if it is what tradition dictates.
A male more beast than man, can never yield humanity, let alone love.
But humanity can be learnt, and love seizes all - even those with corrupt souls.
