"Reject me," I ordered as my fist pounded against his chest. "If you don't want me then reject me and get it over with."

"Becks," Vanessa begged as I continued to beat on her father's chest.

Mateo suddenly wrapped his arms around me in a snakelike vice, crushing me to his chest. "Who?" He whispered. He reminded me of the calm before the storm, where everything was deadly quiet and then all chaos would break loose.

"What?" I demanded as I squirmed in his hold.

"Who said I didn't want you?" He spat as he hoisted me up so were at eye level. Dark brown clashed with light ones in a heated glare.

"Actions speak louder than words." I hissed.

"Dad," Vanessa begged once she realized getting to me would be impossible.

He looked over my shoulder at her before meeting my heated gaze. His hand suddenly fisted itself into my hair as he roughly pulled my face down to his. Our lips collided in a fight for dominance I was unwilling to lose. Flames of a raging inferno appeared behind my eyelids almost knocking the fight out of me.

"You are mine," Mateo growled as he ripped his lips from mine.

Exhausted, I stopped thrashing and let the tears flow freely down my cheeks. I didn't know what to do, so I just tried to prepare myself for whatever was coming.
