He was only singing to some birds in the forest and yet here he was, chained to a cell in this vampire's cellar. Sure he got visits and food, bathroom breaks and water, but he didn't like it. All John wanted was a moment to get away! He was treated like a pampered human pet in a cage.

But this creepy ass vampire is using him as not only a pet but a blood bag as well. Alexander wasn't only after John because of the blood though, he'd found himself unable to kill John. He'd gone soft for a human that he wanted to protect and love.
