Annabelle Luther has always been close to her family growing up until college came. For the years of living in another state and creating her own life, Annabelle hasn't been home for almost seven years and has lost all contact with her family, only ever hearing about them from her long-time friend, Piper. Piper has somehow convinced Annabelle to return home during a short vacation and to use her free time to fill up an English position at their old high school. Reluctantly, Annabelle agrees and moved back down to her hometown to be a substitute English teacher. Unfortunately, Annabelle's first day back doesn't go as plan, and a whirlwind of emotions has taken control of her life.
