The one thing that was taught in Academia Arenstratys without fail was the ability to be united, stay united, and maintain unity. Unity and peace were the cornerstones of the institution, and ultimately the pillars of the Great Nations. Unity was what had brought the Nations together after years of war and chaos, and what had enabled the Nations to come together under a banner of peace- a banner which was woven by unity. Unity was their callsign. Unity was the bugle that sounded for war- the war. The legendary war. Unity had nourished peace, peace had nourished greatness.
But the only thing greatness could nourish is greed and ambition. Power and control.
And more greed and ambition, and more power and control. There was no end to the want of wealth and wind.
Unity sustained. But it can not be sustained, the law of nature dictates. Unity is the pillar, but the golden city resting upon it becomes heavier and heavier, grander and grander, never satisfied, sprawling and magnificent.
The pillar crumbles. And this is the story how.
